Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ) Launches Virtual Network Services – One

Published

on

Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ) reported that firms of any size going for network virtualization have a new alternative for achieving simpler, better centralized billing; improved cost control; and reduced capital expenses. This new option is named as Virtual Network Services – One, which provides single line-item, the facility of ‘pay-as-you-go’ pricing as well as billing for software, management and hardware services. There is also an alternative for centralized billing and contracting.

The details

Vickie Lonker, the VP of Network and Virtual Solutions at Verizon, expressed that with new offering, enterprises can bring all of their virtualized network into a workable expense software licensing setup without requiring to pay for hardware separately. Incorporating uCPE into a commercial billing and pricing model is another of the several bottom line business advantages that stem from network virtualization.

Virtual Network Services runs on a utility-based billing and contracting model, offering network functions in an as-a-service way, without the linked device or vendor lock-ins. This eases the complexity of implementing, maintaining and managing multi-vendor software and hardware solutions; lowers the barrier to entry; and provides the flexibility to change functionality and vendors as the requirements of a business dictate.

Latest offering of Virtual Network Services – One offers that flexibility and simplification to the billing and pricing model as well. Ghassan Abdo, the Research Vice President IDC, expressed that the latest option is an attractive incentive for firms seeking to move to a virtual environment. It simplifies the billing and pricing model, and makes their network systems convenient to manage and potentially enhanced total cost of ownership.

International organizations and companies want better flexibility and the ability to capitalize on their network resources. Verizon Communications is creating intelligent and dynamic networks for firms that respond automatically to altering business needs to help attain the best business outcomes.

In the last trading session, the stock price of Verizon gained 0.71% to close the day at $51.25.
