What Is Going On With PepsiCo, Inc. (NYSE:PEP)?

In the aftermath of the earthquake and Hurricane Irma in Mexico, the PepsiCo, Inc. (NYSE:PEP) Foundation quickly mobilized to offer support to communities in need as they start the long road to recovery. This foundation has offered a grant of $1 million to Feeding America for help in the Southeast U.S. and Florida.

The PepsiCo Foundation is offering the American Red Cross and its associate national societies a grant of $250,000 to help recovery in the Caribbean and a donation of $250,000 for relief work in Mexico. It has also offered $250,000 to package, distribute and source meals in the Miami region through its old Food for Good plan, a purpose-driven business measure that uses PepsiCo’s expertise in nutrition, distribution and taste to tackle child hunger.

These donations build on a grant of $1 million by the foundation to the American Red Cross instantly after Hurricane Harvey, and a donation of $1.75 million to offer 1 million meals in the Houston region through Food for Good in the imminent four to six weeks. Besides financial support, the firm has donated over 107,500 instances of Aquafina purified drinking water, Gatorade thirst quencher, Tropicana and Propel water.

Indra K. Nooyi, the CEO and Chairman of PepsiCo, expressed that the destruction they have noted from natural disasters in the preceding few weeks is heartbreaking and firms like PepsiCo need to do their part to assist communities rebuild and recover. By coming together with remarkable associates like the Red Cross and Feeding America, they are offering major support to the communities they aid in a moment of need.

Diana Aviv, the CEO of Feeding America, expressed that they are grateful to the PepsiCo Foundation for its plentiful support of the Feeding America system in the repercussion of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey. There are people combating with hunger in every particular county in the U.S. However, when an adversity strikes, this need increases. They appreciate the PepsiCo Foundation for assisting the needy people during these horrible disasters.
