Curaleaf Holdings Inc. (OTCMKTS:CURLF) has announced that it has received approval for its three final and two provisional recreational use licenses in Massachusetts by the Cannabis Control Commission.
Approval of three adult-use licenses
Following the approval of the licenses, the company can now focus on Post final inspections for the three licenses followed by the Commence Operations inspections. The company expects to complete the process in the next few months.
Curaleaf CEO Joseph Lusardi stated that they acknowledge the work of the Cannabis Control Commission and they look forward towards collaborating with the commission to secure approval for final inspections. He said that the company was proud to have served the community for the last two years as a medical cannabis company and they were delighted regarding this significant step in the process of receiving a recreational license.
The three final licenses include a license co-located at the current Oxford medical retail location. The other two licenses for manufacturing and cultivation will be at the current Webster medical cultivation and manufacturing facility. The provisional licenses are for new retail locations in Provincetown and Ware. Currently, the company has medical retail locations in Oxford and Hanover.
Curaleaf launch medical cannabis tablets in Florida
The company has also announced the launch of medical cannabis tablets in Florida. Curaleaf becomes the first to offer the tablets and they will be available in all its 26 dispensaries across the state. The company has a huge cannabis retail footprint with around 49 dispensaries across the US. The company also sells medical cannabis tablets in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Connecticut. It also has plans of expanding the availability of the tablets to other states in the US.
Regarding the launch, the CEO stated that their high-quality medical cannabis tablets enable patients to live well.
