HempMeds Brasil, a subsidiary of Medical Marijuana Inc (OTCMKTS:MJNA), has congratulated ANIVASA and other health officials, who gave the nod for the regulation of medical marijuana. The approval makes the way the sale of medical marijuana through drug stores and pharmacies on prescription in Brazil. It takes ninety days to become a law after the regulation is published in the nation’s gazette.
A new class of medical cannabis products
Caroline Heinz, Vice President of Hemp Meds, said the regulation allows the launch of cannabis products in drug stores and pharmacies. It helps to develop a new class of medical cannabis products in the nation. The wait time of three months to get CBD products is now reduced to zero.
Four million patients will benefit from medical cannabis
Around four million patients in Brazil will get immediate access to medical cannabis products. However, they can buy the products by showing prescription at drug stores and pharmacies across the nation. The new regulation allows the customers to experience cannabis and check themselves how this innovative product will improve their wellness and health.
Before approving this regulation, the patients need to submit a report from the physician explaining CBD product requirements through the government website. The new regulation eliminates the need for such a process, and customers can directly purchase CBD products from drug stores/ pharmacies on presenting a prescription. It also sets the standard for supervision, dispensation, commercialization, and recommending medical cannabis products.
Demand for CBD in Brazil
The demand for CBD in Brazil is expected to reach $448 million by the year 2023. Dr. Stuart Titus, Chief Executive Officer of Medical Marijuana, has applauded the team at ANIVA and other officials to approve the regulation and helping the company. HempMeds will become the first company to import cannabidiol products into Brazil.
Medical Marijuana has received a Bronze Stevie Award from Avise Analytics for its best efforts. Commenting on the recognition, the company said it would continue to serve customers with the best products.
Kannaway, a subsidiary of Medical Marijuana, is putting in efforts to establish its footprint in Japan. The company exhibited excellent performance in healthcare services and products. It has bagged Silver Golden Bridge Award.
